Maintenance Manager

Vickerstock are working with an international food company to assist them with their recruitment of a Maintenance Manager for their site in Dublin. Our client has some of the biggest and best known brands within the food sector across Europe.
You will have Overall responsibility for the leadership and development of a high-performance maintenance team, and the embedding of high standard maintenance processes and practices within a highly automated 24/7 distribution facility, including the efficient operation and maintenance of all associated utilities.
Your main responsibilities as a Maintenance Manager;
1. Required to have people management experience with evidence of supporting team development and the delivery of departmental goals outlined in department PKI's
2. Developing and managing the annual budget for the maintenance department
3. Adherence to Company policies & procedures and ensure health & safety practices are followed.
4. Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, exposure to SAP system is highly desirable.
5. Strong organisation and planning skills with ability to prioritise effectively
6. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required
7. Responsible for carried out Risk Assessments and reviewing RAMS, SOP's and other documents.
8. Manage a Maintenance team of 5 maintenance technicians
9. Competent in Trouble shooting using 6 Sigma process
10. Continuous updating PM tasks and managing PM's schedules on SAP
11. Organise training and coaching for the maintenance staff
12. Organise shift and holiday rosters for the maintenance department.
13. Ensure that correct spares are maintained for all the equipment, using SAP
14. Identify area for Continuous Improvement in mechanical, electrical and system controls and implement a continuous improve project plan
15. Manage and organise numerous CAPEX project and continuous improvement projects through the project life cycle
16. Manage external Contractors to ensure maintenance repairs and projects are completed on target and within budget.
17. Ensure all issue raised in the GDP, BRC,DAFM audits are addressed and closed out as per agreed schedule
18. Review the daily shift reports and ensure any outstanding issues are addressed.
19. Organise the calibration for all the temperature probes in cold stores, loading Bays and Chilled rooms, ensure that all temperature cert are review and maintained
As a Maintenance Manager, ideally you will have;
20. Qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline
21. 5 years recent and relevant experience of leading and managing a maintenance department within a manufacturing environment.
22. A good working knowledge of SAP is required.
23. Must be capable of trouble shoot system issues at a high level.
24. A good understanding of Siemens PLC step7 programs would be an advantage.
