Position Summary:
The Transport Planner and System Support Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and optimizing daily transport schedules and routes while providing key support for the Azyra ERP and Nexus systems. This role will ensure seamless system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support operational teams with best practices in using technology to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Planning:
* Route Optimization: Design and implement efficient route plans using Azyra ERP and Nexus systems, ensuring on-time delivery and minimal transit time.
* Daily Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule transport jobs, taking into account capacity, customer requirements, and resource availability.
* Resource Allocation: Assign vehicles and drivers, ensuring all assignments are within regulatory and company policy standards.
* Real-Time Monitoring: Use system data and communication channels to monitor live progress, manage delays, and adjust routes as needed.
* Reporting and Analysis: Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on performance, including KPIs such as on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and asset utilization.
System Support & Administration:
* Azyra ERP Management: Act as the point of contact for Azyra ERP issues; and perform routine system maintenance.
* Nexus System Oversight: Act as the point of contact for Nexus issues; and perform routine system maintenance.
* Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct sessions for staff on the effective use of Azyra and Nexus, ensuring all users understand best practices and workflows.
* Data Management: Ensure data integrity across systems, handling data entry, updates, and resolving discrepancies.
Customer Service & Communication:
* Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, such as Operations, Customer Service, and Finance, to ensure transport schedules align with business needs.
* Customer Support: Serve as an escalation point for transport-related issues, proactively addressing any service disruptions and maintaining customer satisfaction.
* Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve any system-related issues that impact transport planning or customer orders.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: 2+ years in transport planning or logistics, with hands-on experience in systems support and ERP management (Azyra and Nexus experience preferred).
* Technical Skills: Proficient with Azyra ERP, Nexus, or similar ERP systems. Strong understanding of transport operations software, data analysis, and route optimization.
* Problem Solving: Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially within ERP or route management systems.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly communicate system issues and solutions to technical and non-technical teams.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility: Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and adapt quickly to new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications: Relevant certifications in transport logistics, ERP systems, or supply chain management.
* Knowledge of Transport Compliance: Understanding of transport compliance and regulatory requirements.
