About the Role
The Senior Accounting Manager of the International Accounting team will be primarily focused on the annual financial close process, preparation and review of statutory accounts, and other compliance obligations. You will work on various accounting projects and supplementary works as part of the continuous improvement of the statutory compliance process.
Responsibilities
* Delivery and driving of key strategic company goals.
* Manage finance team members and monitor performance of direct reports.
* Review and approval of annual statutory trial balances and financial statements for several international entities.
* Oversight and management of audit team engagement and other vendor engagements.
* Delivery and ownership of CAO internal reporting requirements.
* Customer ambassador and key stakeholder liaison for the team.
* Proactive leading is essential, working independently as much as possible and achieving compliance deadlines.
* Present and take responsibility for key internal and external communication for CAO, CFO and other stakeholders.
* Point of escalation for compliance issues with timely resolutions.
* Demonstrate manager level knowledge and experience across international accounting standards.
* Represent the International Accounting team and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve processes and systems.
* Approve journal entries, review general ledger accounts and reconciliations where required.
* Lead cross-functionally, specifically with internal tax and legal teams.
* Drive the team strategically to achieve company-wide goals.
* Track and report on budget, forecast, actuals for the accounting cost centre.
* Support the team on technical issues/transactions.
About You

Basic Qualifications
* Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
* 8+ years post-qualified experience or equivalent.
* 3+ years in a managerial role or equivalent.
Other Qualifications
* Demonstration of key leadership competencies aligned with Workday culture.
* Motivational leadership and Workday culture maintenance are essential.
* Shared Service Centre experience in a complex global accounting environment.
* Proficient with technical accounting across US GAAP, IFRS, and global reporting.
* Ability to lead a cohesive team of global finance professionals.
* Team player who creates and maintains positive working relationships.
* Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
