Clinical Nurse Manager II - Clinical Facilitator

This is a new and existing role for the right candidate at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. The Clinical Facilitator plays a crucial role to support the delivery and facilitation of clinical education and training across Marymount internally. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality assurance, managing resources, staffing, staff development, facilitating communication, and providing professional and clinical leadership. The role involves supporting registered nurses such as RGNs, ENPs, C/CNSs, CNSs, and ANPs in developing clinical skills and competencies to meet their professional responsibilities in an evolving healthcare environment. Additionally, the Clinical Facilitator promotes the development of preceptorship skills among nurses, provides clinical support and induction for all registered nurses at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, and aids in implementing the enhanced community care model alongside associated specialist nursing posts. The position is integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and coordinated services to the population within the network, adhering to legislative frameworks and resource allocations. Furthermore, the Clinical Facilitator collaborates with other disciplines to integrate community healthcare services within the network to address population needs while meeting service delivery requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
* Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses, as maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years full time post registration experience) of which 2 must be in the specialty of Palliative/Oncology Nursing.
* Candidates must have the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise, along with a high level of suitability and competence in clinical, managerial, and administrative areas, to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
* Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.
* Be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desirable Criteria
* Possession of an MSc in Palliative Medicine or a closely related field.
* Possession of an Postgraduate Qualification in Education or a closely related field.
* Expertise in using ICT-based training systems.
