This role is responsible for the identification of risks to business disruption and to put in place mitigation measures to eliminate and/or minimise the impact on the continued functioning of Generation and Trading.
This role will work with external and internal stakeholders to develop these business resilience and continuity plans ensuring they are consistent with policy and legislation. The role will include integration of obligations outlined under the new Critical Entities Resilience (CER) Directive for which the energy sector must comply. The role will involve testing of these developed plans in fabricated scenarios and will lead the implementation of these plans with Senior Management and external stakeholders (e.g., ESB Networks, EirGrid, DECC, etc) in anticipation of real scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, oversee and govern business resilience and continuity plans across all of Generation and Trading assets on a risk basis and as defined in the Critical Entities Resilience Directive.
2. Ensure compliance with obligations of the Critical Entities Resilience (CER) Directive, completing risk assessments.
3. Identify key risks, vulnerabilities and potential threats to G&T business disruption across a number of categories.
4. Ensure plans are in place to minimise business disruption in these scenarios.
5. Work collaboratively across all GT assets, Trading, Asset Management and Asset Development to identify risks and develop the Business Continuity plans for these risks.
6. Collaborate with senior management at all stages of developing and implementing the business continuity plans.
7. Test the business resilience and continuity plans in mock scenarios.
8. Lead the implementation of the Business Continuity Plan with Senior Management in real scenarios, liaising with external stakeholders as appropriate including ESB Networks, EirGrid, DECC, CRU, HSE, etc.
9. Maintain a knowledge of policy and legislation as applicable to the CER, ensuring compliance.
Experience and Qualifications
1. Ability to analyse and make decisions.
2. Proven ability to deliver on the “key responsibilities” outlined above.
3. 5+ years Energy Industry work experience.
4. Stakeholder Management – internal, external, technology providers/contractors.
5. 3rd level technical qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.
6. Strong commercial acumen and awareness.
7. Knowledge of the Generation and Trading Business.
8. Knowledge of the Critical Entities Resilience Directive.
Location
This position will be based in Dublin, F27.

€69,500 to €81,500 per annum
