Job Opportunity: Social Care Team Leader – Disability Residential

Salary:
€40,000 - €48,500 per year (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Care Team Leader to join our team in a Disability residential service in Co. Kildare.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire a team while ensuring quality care for service users.
* Create a safe and nurturing environment for service users with disabilities, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
* Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances.
* Collaborate with staff for consistent care delivery.
* Monitor and supervise, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
* Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and external professionals.
* Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with professionals for comprehensive care.
* Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges.
* Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
* Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
* Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework (BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care).
* At least 2 years management experience at a similar level of responsibility.
* At least 3 years' experience in the health/social care or voluntary sector.
* Detailed understanding of developments at national and sectoral level in relation to quality and safety within disability services.
* Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive & Teams.
* A full driver's licence is an essential requirement.
