Position: IT Project Manager
The Organisation
Animal Health Ireland is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership, tasked with controlling livestock diseases not subject to international regulation, with the objective of improving the profitability and sustainability of Irish farmers and the agri-food sector. The advice provided by AHI is developed by a number of Technical Working Groups and the delivery of its major programmes is overseen by cross-industry Implementation Groups.
Description
A vacancy has arisen for the role of IT Project Manager, which will involve managing the IT requirements of the organisation, including the technical design, development, and implementation of applications, meeting required deadlines and ensuring a successful outcome. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates should have skills and a minimum of two years’ experience in the following areas:
* CRM Database management
* Ability to use Microsoft Power Platform at an advanced level
* IT Project management, including technical design and implementation of new applications
* Experience writing technical procedures
* ICT helpdesk experience
* Working with Excel in terms of data integration and warehousing
* Experience with external supplier management
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
* A sound practical knowledge of ICT technical architectures, ICT systems development and service delivery
* An aptitude and interest to remain up to date on ICT trends and developments
* An understanding of current developments in the application of information systems and the ability to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists – technical or otherwise
The role requires the candidate to be highly organised, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality results, with good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and with flexibility as part of a team. Candidates should be well organised and practical with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and show excellent attention to detail.
Educational Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or IT project management.
