Role Overview: As a Network Systems Administrator, you will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of their network management system. Your role is pivotal in supporting and developing the company's Network Management Systems, Operational Support Systems, and Performance Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management:
Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate network infrastructure across offices, data centres, and co-locations.
Monitor system and network availability, performance, and capacity.
Configure & Maintenance:
Configure, maintain, and upgrade internal Network Management Systems, Performance Management Systems, and Operational Support Systems.
Provide operational support to internal users.
Research, Development, and Design:
Research, develop, design, and architect systems and networks.
Security and Policy Implementation:
Review and remediate security vulnerabilities across related systems and networks.
Assist the IT Team Lead and Head of IT with network policies and procedures.
Collaboration and Project Support:
Work with IT department members to provide network infrastructure for related projects.
Third-Party Application Support:
Administer and support third-party applications.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
Educational Background:
BSc in Computer Science or relevant technical certifications (MCSE, CISSP, CCNA, etc.).
Relevant professional experience may substitute formal qualifications.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
System Administration and Network Engineering or NOC experience, preferably in telecommunications.
Technical Expertise:
Administering corporate networks, including switching, routing, and Wi-Fi.
Administering Network Management Systems such as Nokia NSP/5620 SAM, CA/Broadcom DX NetOps, Ceragon Netmaster, PRTG, Solarwinds, etc.
Administering virtualized server and storage platforms.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (RADIUS, SNMP, BGP, VPN, Ethernet).
Additional Skills:
Experience with microarchitecture administration.
Strong research and development skills
