We have an attractive opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join one of the leading multinational manufacturers in Cork. As a business partner to the site, this is a varied role with significant exposure to senior management. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for key areas of the annual standards-setting process and play a lead role in the planning & analysis activities ensuring stakeholders have timely and relevant information to effectively plan and control the business. No direct reports but you will mentor a team of analysts. Opportunity to rotate responsibilities within the team to gain more exposure to the business. Permanent role with hybrid working options. Competitive overall package and based on the south side of Cork city.
Overview of responsibilities:
* Annual standard costing process for the site
* Accurate material pricing, calculation of the scrap/yield budget, variance analysis and review of the impact of cost movements
* Participation in and coordination of the management accounting month-end close process
* Responsible for ensuring inventory is valued correctly
* New product introduction, establish full product costing for new products
* Coordination of scorecards and flash reports on a weekly & monthly basis
* Identify and deliver ongoing improvements to finance processes
* SOX compliance
What the ideal candidate looks like:
* Fully ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Qualified with 5+ years PQE
* Manufacturing and FP&A experience
* Experience in influencing at senior management levels across a cross-functional and global organisation
* ERP system knowledge (ideally SAP)
