Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the care of residents within the nursing home, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit, ensuring effective communication with staff, residents, and families.
2. Care Coordination: Coordinate care to align with best practices and policies set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
3. Care Planning: Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure they meet the needs of residents.
4. Staff Management: Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance and mentorship. Conduct performance reviews and manage staff development programs.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hospital policies. Report and manage incidents, implementing quality improvements as needed.
6. Communication: Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Advocate for residents, ensuring their wishes and needs are respected.
7. Professional Development: Support the learning and development of newly qualified staff nurses. Promote a positive clinical environment conducive to learning and professional growth.
Requirements
* NMBI Registration: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* Management Experience: Previous management/supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Teamwork: A genuine interest in working with our client group and a team player mentality.
* Garda Vetting Unit Clearance: Certification of Garda Vetting Unit clearance.
* Care for the Elderly Experience: Experience or qualification in caring for the elderly.
Preferred Qualifications
* Minimum Two Years Management/Supervisory Experience: Minimum two years' experience in management or supervisory roles.
Work Environment
* Location: Maynooth, County Kildare.
* Work Schedule: Full-time position with a 12-hour shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
