Desktop Support Team Lead
eir evo is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our Managed Services Team, working on a dedicated team for a prestigious client, supporting an evolving and exciting multi-technology IT environment. This role requires on-site presence at the client's site on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work on and receive exposure to different technologies, including Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), as well as the latest Microsoft applications & solutions.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Providing desktop support for customers
* Provisioning accounts and hardware
* Supporting Windows Desktops, Printers, Outlook, Networks, MS Office, O365, Autopilot
* Supporting Azure Virtual Desktop, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO
* Maintaining and building current documentation in place
* Troubleshooting hardware issues
* Interacting with and managing third-party vendors
* Imaging and deployment using Intune
* Managing file permissions and access rights, security/distribution group creation and management
* SharePoint administration
* Configuring and supporting mobile devices
* Team planning management (annual leave, rota, weekend coverage for remote support, special events/support needs…)
* Daily team huddle leadership
* Bi-monthly 1-2-1 meetings with team members
* Maintaining team cohesion
* Focusing on SLAs
* Regular ticket quality checks (ITIL conformity, content, follow-up)
* Team members' education/training
* Creating, updating, and following processes and documentation
We are looking for a candidate with:
* 3 - 4+ years of experience working in a deskside support environment
* Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS Office – Level 2 support
* Office 365 and Virtualization experience is advantageous
* Customer services and call handling experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10
* A Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS
* CompTIA A+
