Role:
To deal with the day-to-day functioning and reporting requirements of the finance function, with overall responsibility for payroll, debtors and creditors, and preparation of management accounts and management reports.
Main Duties:
* Preparation of end of week reconciliation reports and weekly sales report.
* Preparation and maintenance of monthly payroll and staff performance reports.
* Processing of invoices and organising supplier EFT payments.
* Maintenance of financial ledgers, accounting processes and fixed assets register.
* Bank, finance companies, voucher and course reconciliations.
* Review regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
* Filing of PAYE and VAT returns on ROS.
* Monitoring the Phorest system and Shopify website.
* Reviewing and improving internal controls.
* Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.
* Oversee revenue and capital costs and take the lead role in cost control.
* Liaison with external Accountants, Banks, Revenue, suppliers, sales reps as required.
* Training the management and reception team with administration processes.
Candidate:
* 3 years previous experience in a similar role with ideally an AAT or ATI qualification.
* Excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
* Good communication skills and fluency in English are essential.
* Be able to work on own initiative, without constant supervision and manage tight deadlines.
* Knowledge in the Sage Accounting Systems a distinct advantage.
* Excellent attention to detail.
