Job Title: Duty Social Work Team Leader (Referrals Manager)
Location: Hybrid (Nationwide) – Monthly travel to Dublin Head Quarters required
Salary: €68,500 – €79,000 per annum plus 27–30 days of Annual leave per year
Contract: Permanent, fulltime 35 hour working week, Monday -Friday plus on call commitments

Excel Healthcare is proud to partner with a forward thinking, child focused, Irish owned organisation to recruit a Duty Social Work Team Leader (Referrals Manager) for an exciting and impactful role within their fostering service.
This is a truly unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate Social Worker to step into a leadership position, where your expertise will directly contribute to better outcomes for children and young people across Ireland.
The successful candidate will initially report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with both the social care and social work teams. With offices in Dublin and Sligo, our client operates nationwide, and this hybrid role will involve travel and availability for some evening and weekend work will be required for this post.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders such as Tusla, at various levels, through a business development approach.
* Manage the placement of children/young people by following childcare legislation and regulations, child protection procedures, the requirements of the Children’s First Act 2015, in conjunction with our clients Policies and Procedures
* Build and maintain a responsive quality led referral service through the sourcing management of foster care vacancies in line with organisational objectives.
* Provide strong leadership through effective management and supervision of all referrals in line with our client’s vision, mission and values.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, and families.
Essential Criteria:
* CORU registered Social Worker or equivalent recognised qualification
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in child protection, duty, fostering or related areas
* Strong understanding of Irish child protection legislation and frameworks
* Full driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
* Must have valid Garda Clearance and valid Overseas Clearance if you have lived abroad for more than 6 months
* Comfortable working in a hybrid model and travelling to HQ in Dublin monthly
* Confident communicator, effective collaborator, and a natural leader
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience in referrals, placement matching or a screening role is highly desirable
