Position: Engineering Project Coordinator
Qualification: Minimum Level 6 qualification in a technical discipline

About XOCEAN
XOCEAN is an ocean data company – we collect data for clients ranging from mapping the seabed to monitoring the environment. However, we do this differently; instead of using conventional crewed survey ships, we have developed a marine robotic system known as an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV).
Overview
Technology is fundamental to the effective delivery of the XOCEAN service. The Engineering Management team have responsibility for ensuring that engineering resources are directed effectively and engineering projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. This role will be responsible for maintaining and developing the systems and processes that support Engineering Management decision making. The role will additionally support the wider Engineering team in successfully completing engineering projects.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Day to day activities will be varied, and will include:
* Support the Engineering team in achieving timely project close-out.
* Own and manage the Engineering Development task list, including system administration and development.
* Facilitate Engineering Change Management meetings, issuing agendas and updating progress reports.
* Facilitate decisions on the prioritisation of projects by collating and presenting information on cost and benefit of various upgrades, and available resources.
* Support engineering interface with Procurement in setting up new suppliers, creating part numbers, raising purchase orders etc.
* Manage monthly budget reporting and reconciliation process.
Requirements: Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience
* The successful candidate will have a proven record of managing projects and improving systems or products with excellent drive to produce results in short timescales.
* Level 6 qualification (Diploma or higher) in a technical discipline.
* Experience working in a technical role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Collaborative, enthusiastic, positive, and proactive nature with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentational, and team working skills.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills across all applications.
* Proven ability to develop strong system expertise.
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in the Marine environment, either professionally or otherwise.
* Experience at an administrative level with Monday.com.
* Experienced in the administrative use of NetSuite.
