We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our Nationwide Disability residential service team. This rewarding career opportunity provides comprehensive care for vulnerable adults and children across Cork, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Kildare, Monaghan, or Cavan.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide care and support through a person-centred approach, meeting the practical, physical, and emotional needs of residents with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism.
* To act as a key worker for named Residents where appropriate.
* To provide support to residents with their daily plans, individual goals, and education.
* To assist with living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits.
* To work collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team in service delivery to residents.
Requirements:
* Candidates must hold a qualification at Level 7 or above that meets the criteria to be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
* Knowledge of quality assurance practice and its application to service provision.
* Experience working in a residential, respite, or day service setting with persons with an intellectual disability.
* Knowledge of Person Centred Planning, clinical and human resource policies, and relevant legislation.
* Understanding of National Disability Standards (HIQA).
