Role: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

CPL is delighted to once again support our manufacturing client in sourcing their next Manufacturing Engineering Lead. This role has opened up as a result of a long-term staff member moving onwards. This is a busy CMO manufacturing environment, and the hiring manager is looking for someone who is comfortable managing and developing a team of METs as well as overseeing the day-to-day technical aspects of the role.
We are ideally looking for candidates from a high-volume manufacturing environment, and a strong leader who can manage at multiple levels while being part of a team that manages the client relationship from an engineering perspective.
Key Duties:
1. Lead and develop a team of engineers in a manufacturing environment. Manage team development and performance.
2. Manage product and process change activities, technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply.
3. Work cross-functionally & cross-site to deliver finished products to the end customer.
4. Lead projects to drive continuous improvement in key metrics in alignment with Lean, Six Sigma, Design Robustness, and Problem-Solving Principles.
5. Deliver solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree level or higher in a relevant technical discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Engineering, or equivalent) with 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
2. 5 years or more experience in a relevant leadership position.
3. Very strong technical background (Mechanical / Electromechanical / Manufacturing).
4. Excellent collaboration & communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
5. A strong inspirational leader & excellent team player who knows how to develop and drive high-performance teams.
6. A high-paced individual who leads by example, is organized and solution-focused.
7. Overall ability to combine technical, design, and manufacturing skillsets in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
8. Can mentor, develop, and guide the team in problem-solving and is solutions-driven.
9. Utilizes their knowledge and skillset to get the job done with pace, efficiently utilizing all resources available.
