Bective House is a 180 acres stud farm in Co. Meath and is located on the banks of the river Boyne. The house lies midway between Navan and Trim and is easily accessible from both Town Centres. Bective Estate was set up in 2016 and has been extensively developed over the past 5 years with further exciting plans currently in development by the owners. The North Lodge of the estate has recently been fully restored and will provide a coffee shop and licensed restaurant for patrons to come and relax with our own Bective Blend Coffee and enjoy an exquisite lunch or afternoon tea prepared daily by our award winning Head Chef.

The Role
We are currently looking for Qualified Part Time Chef with Experience at Bective Tea Rooms. You will report directly to the Head Chef, and the chosen candidate will be expected to show a high standard of attention to detail while following all recipes and procedures. At Bective Tea Rooms, our chefs will serve as role models to our team driving our in-house standards with regards to food service & preparation as well as taking significant responsibility for on-the-job education and training of all team members. This is a great role for someone who has already demonstrated a high level of skill and performance within the food sector, especially within pastry preparation, and wants to help nurture others to do the same.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes for Breakfast, Lunch and the Occasional Dinner or Private Event.
2. Assisting Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes suitable for the space and the customers.
3. Maintaining the hygiene and HACCP procedures to the highest possible standard.
4. Optimizing the kitchen service with attention to speed and quality.
5. Keeping the environment friendly and the kitchen clean under pressure.
Requirements:
1. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
2. High speed preparation output in Prep Kitchen.
3. Pastry experience will be required as the team is a small one.
4. Maintaining the restaurant food offering to a very high standard & responsible for the standard of food leaving the kitchen throughout the day.
5. Work with the management to create the best possible experience for our customer.
6. Flexibility in working days including seasonal weekend work and early mornings.
7. The area is in Rural Meath and is serviced nearby by Navan - Trim public transport, but your own transport would be an advantage.
8. Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
9. Fully HACCP trained and capable of following the daily/weekly/monthly tasks associated with this.
