An exciting opportunity for a Private Client Financial Planner has arisen in the Financial Planning team within Private Clients. The person will work as part of a team of in-house financial planning experts (financial planners, tax specialists, pension specialists and protection specialists) with the client’s dedicated investment adviser to drive positive outcomes for existing clients and new prospects.
The position would suit someone who has just completed an accountancy, tax, CFP or pension qualification, or is partly qualified and is looking to complete it. The successful individual will have an interest in developing a career in private client wealth management using their technical expertise in a client driven manner.
Key responsibilities of this position will include:
* Work with private client advisers and financial planning team in tailoring goals based financial plans solutions for clients
* Utilising their technical knowledge to identify planning solutions across the full wealth management spectrum (pensions, tax, protection and investments).
* Engaging with clients both in person and virtually from factfinding to presenting financial plans
* Becoming familiar with in-house cashflow modelling tools (full training provided) to assist in the creation of the financial plans and technical advice
* Reviewing work completed by other team members to ensure a suitably high standard
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and solutions
* Assist in the implementation of actions identified during the planning process
* Assist with the production of other client material e.g. insights and articles and project work as required.
Requirements
* Degree or Masters level qualification – preferably in a business, finance or accounting related discipline
* At least 2 years experience in the financial services industry
* Client facing experience is desirable
* Knowledge of or previous experience within pension, tax, and/or investment disciplines desirable
* Competency with MS office packages particularly MS Excel and Powerpoint
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, listening, communication and presentation skills with a high level of empathy
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
* An ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to manage key stakeholders across the business with the ability to develop key relationships
