Responsibilities
* Anticipate the needs of guests; display an open, friendly, courteous, and approachable demeanor to guests; proactively engage guests to provide quality service; maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward guest service.
* Ensure that all team members are trained on technical and service aspects of their position.
* Establish control systems for controllable costs and labor to effectively meet budget guidelines.
* Ensure that all team members clearly understand their job roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations. Give constructive feedback to team members to assist them in their overall job performance.
* Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and associates to develop and carry out ideas and procedures to continuously improve department performance around guest satisfaction scores.
* Work in conjunction with finance management to maintain management of cash, reconciliation of folios, and all accounting.
* Manage roster, time management, Alkimii, and hours' control.
* Assist with annual payroll budget in line with forecast occupancies.
* Ensure monthly forecasting is completed.
* Constantly review Trip Advisor, Guest folio, and other social media platforms.
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Hospitality Management qualification.
* Background in both Front Office and Accommodation services within a hotel setting.
* Strong knowledge of property management systems such as Opera.
* Knowledge of Sales systems such as Micros.
* Problem solver.
* Results-oriented with a proactive approach to all issues.
* Innovative thinker with the ability to lead, motivate, and adapt to evolving situations.
