About XOCEAN
XOCEAN is an ocean data company that collects data for clients ranging from mapping the seabed to monitoring the environment.
We accomplish this through a unique approach, utilizing an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) instead of conventional crewed survey ships.
Overview
The successful candidate will be involved in the continuous development and support of XOCEAN's IT Environment.
They will work with all aspects of IT, including Hardware, Software, and Cloud Services to provide a first-class end-user experience.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist with day-to-day IT operations.
* Provide IT support to all XOCEAN users and escalate issues when necessary.
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals to identify issue root causes.
* Document support activities, including resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and change management requests.
* Configure and maintain PCs and IT Hardware onboard USV's.
* Assist the R&D Team with development items.
* Prepare and maintain documentation on all projects.
Requirements
Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience
* 2/3 Years experience with Microsoft 365 Platform.
* Excellent knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating Systems.
* Strong understanding of Networks, Firewalls, and VPNs.
* General experience with IT Hardware/Software issues.
* Ability to manage time independently, tasked with short-term reactionary duties as well as long-term strategic projects.
* Proven track record of delivering tasks and projects through to completion.
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced rapidly growing organisation.
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of Jira Service Management platform would be beneficial.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.
* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or working to achieve are a plus.
