Job Description
We are seeking a distinguished academic to join our team as an Ad Astra Fellow in International Law and Global Justice. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public international law and global justice theories.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to team teaching across public international law subjects
* Develop theoretically-informed courses in their field of expertise in ILGJ
* Support the development of UCD as a centre of excellence for International Law and Global Justice
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrated expertise in public international law and diverse global justice theories
* A strong research agenda aligned with advancing sustainability and equity through critical and interdisciplinary inquiry into contemporary global justice challenges
* Expertise on international criminal justice, climate justice, border justice, racial justice or any other cognate field is welcome
What We Offer
The Ad Astra Fellow will be supported to expand engagement across schools in UCD, as well as with key external stakeholders in ILGJ. They will also receive research support for the first five years, which will normally consist of a PhD student scholarship and a budget for research costs.
