About the role
We are looking for an experienced International Tax Manager who will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the various processes and controls required to ensure Rippling is meeting its compliance and operational obligations as it continues to grow internationally. In addition, this role will provide support to the business across a broad range of tax heads across a number of regions (EMEA, APAC & LATAM). You will also support the International Tax Director in the execution of international tax strategy projects and various one-off ad hoc projects. The role will involve collaborating with colleagues within Tax and various other corporate functions within Rippling in addition to the management of external advisors in various jurisdictions.
What you will do
Reporting to the International Tax Director, the role will focus on the following key activities:
* Assist with the management of the corporate tax compliance process for our International entities including responsibility for ensuring all filing and payment deadlines are met.
* Develop our Indirect compliance process internationally and manage the on-going VAT/GST compliance for all our international entities.
* Assist with the annual and interim US GAAP income tax provision as it relates to international operations and tax matters.
* Assist with transfer pricing documentation including functional analysis, benchmarking local files, master files and country by country reporting.
* Overseeing the inter-co transfer pricing calculations and working with the Treasury team to assist with regards to inter-company funding.
* Identify tax efficiencies and planning opportunities and work on implementing the same.
* Responsible for monitoring the international tax landscape, communicating relevant developments and their anticipated impact to the global tax team to ensure on-going compliance.
* Provide support on one-off ad hoc projects, transactions, planning initiatives etc.
* Working with the product and broader teams to research and provide insights into income tax issues and rules which are specific to our existing and new products.
What you will need
* Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualified or equivalent.
* Professional Accounting qualification is a plus.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and to execute complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
* Ability to collaborate, ensure accountability, and drive results in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with a high level of integrity.
* 8+ years of relevant experience at a public accounting firm and/or tax department of a multinational public company.
* Experience in direct and indirect tax compliance is a plus.
