We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our diverse, friendly and international Data Center team.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our Logistics operations, our business, and most importantly, our customers.
Key job responsibilitiesAs a Logistics Specialist, you will perform analysis related to process, inventory, efficiency and cost improvements.
You will keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company, manage and maintain accurate inventory, and check out parts as needed to our internal customers.
Your responsibilities will include tasks such as arranging, scheduling and supporting shipments across sites and other locations, unpacking boxes and verifying contents.
Lastly, you will be expected to maintain a clean environment, orderliness and safety in all work spaces.
The ideal Logistics Specialist will dive deep into data to understand and proactively propose ideas to improve Logistics Metrics and Performance at the Data Center.
This position involves occasional trips across the cluster to support other sites and frequent lifting of materials up to 18kg (with support from teammates available).
A day in the lifeWe provide items to our customers, safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
You will work in a diverse, international and friendly environment.
9:00-18:00 work on business days.Most of the work will be in an office/storage room with air conditioning and computer.
Occasionally will happen to work outside for shipment support.Mostly work in a quiet environment, but sometimes in a 75db noise level environment (comparable to industrial grade fan).Work with electronic parts.There are on-call duties after normal working hours, rotating by team members on a weekly basis.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience in 5S and project management and operation standardization and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)Conversational level of Japanese and English language1+ years of relevant in analytical role or industry experience in logistics operations (warehouse, inventory management)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in 5S and project managementUniversity diploma or equivalentVisual management tools and/or dashboard implementation experience using SQLExperience in developing or improving layout design or storage/warehouse designExperience with problem solving and analytical dataOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
