Job Specification Title:
Payroll Specialist
The Role:
Manage the entire monthly payroll and expenses process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, pension contributions, benefits-in-kind, and statutory obligations.
Process payroll changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments, overtime) efficiently.
Prepare and submit statutory returns (P30, P35, P60, P45) in accordance with Revenue requirements.
Respond promptly to employee payroll queries and resolve issues effectively.
Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions (pensions, benefits).
Conduct regular payroll audits and rectify any discrepancies found.
Assist with year-end reporting and ensure accurate payslips/statements are produced.
Produce monthly payroll reports for accounting purposes.
Stay up-to-date on the latest payroll legislation and best practices in the healthcare sector.
The Ideal Candidate:
IPASS Accreditation is essential. A minimum of 3+ years' experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation and tax regulations.
Familiarity with pension schemes and benefits administration.
Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, and a high degree of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Irish payroll software and systems, such as Thesaurus, Sage, or similar solutions.
