We’re supporting a top Irish based healthcare provider in their search for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer that is based in/around Dublin.
Duration: 12 months
Location: 1-2 days per week in Central Dublin
Primary Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and support frameworks for our test infrastructure and providing automation expertise to our development teams.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QEs, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
* Execute manual, automated tests and analyse results to identify defects and ensure the highest quality of software.
* Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure robust and reliable software delivery.
* Mentor team members on Automation frameworks.
* Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
* Ensure that all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the team lead on the status of quality.
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and testability.
* Continuously improve and optimize the automated testing framework and processes.
* Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in automated testing and quality engineering.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing.
* 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing automation test scripts using Playwright or Cucumber.
* Experience with other testing frameworks and tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
* Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong and effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related software.
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
