Abbott serves the Irish market with a diverse range of healthcare products including diagnostics, medical devices and nutritionals products. In Ireland, Abbott employs over 6,000 people across ten sites. We have six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. Abbott has commercial, support operations and shared services in Dublin and Galway. We have been operating in Ireland since 1946.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Senior HRBP plays a critical role in enabling business success through strategic workforce planning and talent development. This involves partnering with business leaders to drive employee engagement, retention, and growth initiatives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will report to the HR Director and work closely with a value stream in the business to deliver the following key responsibilities:
Critical Success Factors:
* Coach to Leaders: Partner with leaders to develop their performance, organizational effectiveness, and team capabilities.
* Talent & Capability Development: Support business leaders in building talent pipelines and developing organizational capabilities.
* Culture & Change Champion: Collaborate with business leaders to enhance organizational culture, improve employee engagement, and manage change effectively.
* Strategy Partner: Work with business leaders to diagnose people strategy needs and develop solutions to enable business strategy delivery.
* Employee Relations & Foundational Services: Provide ER guidance and SME mentoring to people leaders, and support the execution of cyclical HR processes.
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate should possess a Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or membership of the Institute of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. A minimum of 8 years' experience in a HRBP role is required.
