Financial Controller – Louth – To £68,000 & Package A current need lies with a Louth based manufacturing business for a competent and determined qualified Financial Controller. This is a pivotal role within the senior management team which will see you working closely with the Site Director and Group FD, in order to continue to drive the business forward, enhance financial controls and performance on site. You will be responsible for 2 sites and partner the site teams to drive business improvements, financial understanding and ensure compliance obligations are met. Package & Benefits:

Your key responsibilities will include:
* You will take a hands on role in the day to day production of both the management and financial accounts. Including monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for 2 sites
* Detailed variance reporting including commentary on reasons for variances and highlighting any risks / opportunities
* Lead the budgeting and rolling monthly forecast
* Cashflow management and forecasting
* Partner operational and commercial teams to balance commercial returns, and drive operational and material optimisation
* Identify, create and drive new strategic improvements in profitability
* Review capital expenditure projects ensuring financial justifications
* Work with operational teams to manage capital expenditure
* Ensure that the work carried out by your team is correct and completed to tight deadlines
* Work with commercial and operational teams to manage and negotiate the buying and selling pricings
* You will be expected to have the ability to lead a small team as well as strengthen and maintain the financial and operational analysis to support the site management with generating improvements
The ideal candidate:
* Qualified accountant, ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA with a proven background in manufacturing or recycling sector
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
* You will ideally have a broad array of skills including costings, cashflow, production of monthly management accounts and commentary, process development and business strategy.
* Excellent manager who leads by example, a hands on accountant and will possess a strong desire to be part of a growing business.
* You will be IT literate including excel and ideally SAP or similar ERP systems
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
