Job Description
The Assistant Director of Nursing will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to provide a consistently strong standard of care to our residents. The post holder must be enthusiastic, motivated, committed to resident focused care. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse manager to join our expanding nursing home group. We are looking for a dynamic, organized individual who will drive resident safety and experience and lead our care teams to strive for excellence in all we do.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance, inspiration, and oversight to guarantee the high calibre of service.
* Serve as a role model for all nursing home employees by exercising clinical and professional leadership that exemplifies the beliefs and conduct consistent with the Care Group ethos.
* As needed within the Care Group, provide line management and grow the clinical nursing teams, care teams and individuals.
* Encourage the provision of care by involving patients and staff, providing clinical monitoring, and holding oneself and others accountable for the care provided at the assisted living facility.
* Provide creative methods for coaching and guiding nursing teams in enhancing their leadership abilities so they can fulfil their duties and plan for succession.
* When necessary, fill in for the director of nursing.
* Work with the Director of Nursing and Management to identify service requirements and plans, and serve as a catalyst in this process.
* Make sure resources are used wisely and efficiently.
Requirements
* Experience managing nurses in an elder care setting as an NMBI Registered Nurse
* Qualifications for post-registration management in health or a similar subject
* Comprehensive understanding of HIQA governance, rules, and standards at a nursing home
* Demonstrated management experience
* Outstanding organisational, communication, and leadership abilities
* Capacity to foster a collaborative atmosphere
* Good decision-making skills and a focus on outcomes
* Flexibility is the ability to adjust to the demands of the business
* It would be ideal to have a degree in gerontology and/or dementia.
