Job Description:
Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to contribute to cost efficiency and project success in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
2. Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and prepare tender and contract documents.
3. Conduct cost analysis and perform risk management processes.
4. Monitor project expenditures and provide detailed cost reports.
5. Assess contractor claims and variations, ensuring accurate valuations.
6. Work closely with project managers to ensure financial control and reporting.
7. Negotiate contracts and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
8. Support procurement activities by evaluating supplier quotations and pricing structures.
9. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify cost-related matters.
10. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 4 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
2. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of cost control, cost management, and cost reporting.
4. Experience in preparing BOQs and cost planning.
5. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
6. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
8. Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
