Cpl in partnership with our client Pfizer are seeking an mRNA Technology Associate Scientist to join the team at their state of the art plant in Dublin, Grange Castle for an 11 month Fixed Term Contract. This is an onsite role. mRNA Technology Associate Scientist Job Purpose: As an Associate Scientist, you will be at the centre of our operations and you'll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will provide science and technology expertise in the disciplines of RNA technology for the development and optimization ofRNA manufacturing processes. You will help Pfizer develop new and improved processes used in the research and development of our drugs. Your innovative mindset will help us develop economical, efficient and safe processes. How You Will Achieve It Pfizer's Large Molecule Technology portfolio comprises multiple approaches for the creation of effective bio therapeutics. Technology advances have facilitated development of mRNA vaccines which are now a core component of Pfizer's product portfolio. mRNA vaccines have the potential to allow faster and more effective responses to infectious disease outbreaks. This laboratory-based role will focus on the characterisation and improvement of these processes for existing mRNA vaccines in commercial manufacturing, and in the later stages of development programs at Pfizer. The Candidate will; ·Comply with safety and regulatory requirements is expected and documented through the internal training program. ·Develop specific knowledge and practical laboratory experience of mRNA bio processing and separation sciences ·Execution of small and or pilot scale RNA technology processes will be at the very heart of your role. ·Apply knowledge of RNA technology, bioprocess engineering and biochemistry to RNA technology process development projects. ·Collaborate closely with analytical scientists who work on the characterization of RNA based therapeutics during process development studies. Qualifications Must-Have ·BEng / BSc / MSc / PhD in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Chemistry or other related disciplines. ·0-3 years of directly relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry ·Excellent oral and written communication skills ·Strong process and computer skills. Nice-to-Have ·Technical fields of experience preferably to include specific knowledge and practical experience of some of the following: mammalian cell technology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbial fermentation, genetics, fluid mechanics, process modelling. ·Experience in designing and executing components of experimental programs in the laboratory. ·Familiar with problem-solving, risk analysis and statistical tools. ·Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, plan and carry out experiments independently, and work with complex instrumentation and software ·Work Location Assignment:On Premise
