Presenter/ Producer – C103
Location – Broadcasting House, Cork City T23 E183
The Team: Cork’s 96FM & C103 is one of Ireland’s biggest and most successful local radio businesses. Operating from Broadcasting House in the city, Cork’s 96FM recently won Silver for music station of the year at the IMRO Radio Awards 2024. C103 is a broad-based local radio service and is home to Cork’s Greatest Hits. Both brands attract almost a quarter of a million adult listeners across Cork City and County each week.
Your Role: This is a dual role. You will produce and present a daily show on the C103 schedule. Initially, this will be our evening Country & Irish music programme which is the most listened to programme in its timeslot in Cork. The other half of the role involves working closely with the Local Content Controller to develop audio-visual content, for on-air and online, that meets the highest standards of quality and audience engagement.
Day to day you will:
Produce and present compelling content for C103’s Evening Programme using all aspects of production including audio editing and mixing as well as live broadcasting.
Develop compelling content for C103’s digital/online platforms for your own show as well as others across the schedule.
Ensure compliance with all codes/guidelines both internal and from the regulator as well as with relevant legislation.
Develop compelling content for C103’s digital/online platforms.
Write and edit scripts, show notes, and promotional material to maintain consistency and quality across all broadcasts.
Working with the Local Content Controller, monitoring audience feedback and ratings, and adapting content strategies to enhance listener engagement and satisfaction.
What we are looking for from you:
A strong voice with well-developed radio presentation skills.
Strong technical skills in audio production and editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition).
Video editing skills as you will be required to create strong online content to complement your on-air work.
A willingness to utilise C103’s new visualised studio facilities to drive awareness and listener engagement.
A good understanding of media law and relevant regulator Codes.
A willingness to represent the station professionally externally.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with all colleagues.
A genuine passion for radio and an understanding of the local Cork audience.
