What is this role about? Team Leader support for all project-based production requirements, pertaining to pre-modular units and or associated products. The role will encompass the following duties: Daily leadership and guidance of production team/s Driving and maintaining overall Site to be equitable to Company standards and expectations in line with Letterkenny facility to be applied for Vertiv employees and contractors. Achieve production schedule timeframes & ensure customer deadlines are met. Organise manpower and other resources to achieve targets. Duties will include coordination of external subcontractors, coordination of works for production staff and preparing product for dispatch and logistics. Must be able to deliver Toolbox Talks and H&S guidance. Create a positive self -motivated atmosphere in a team environment. Assist with first line management duties in line with company procedures. Applicant must be proficient in setting out and tracking work in coordination with engineering team. Assembly of Electrical Switchgear and associated Electromechanical equipment / systems to engineering drawings and production timescales. To apply good workmanship, ensure quality standards are maintained for the products both in the factory and at customers premises. To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures. Working from drawings, manuals, schematics etc. Ability to work on own initiative Sound knowledge of engineering tools and equipment Maturity and engineering practicality Adherence to Company policies and procedures Ability to mentor and develop team members. Apply good workmanship and ensure quality standards are met and maintained. Report any substandard/ malfunction or defective parts. Select measure and modify components to ensure component fit. Assemble prototype and development units with Supervisors and managers. Ensure working environment and equipment are kept clean, tidy and in good condition. Working to deadlines and strict adherence to Quality and H&S principles Positive attitude, Flexible working O/T as required, and ability to fit in as part of a team. Perform other duties as assigned or as needed. Desirable Experience / Qualification Criteria: In order to be considered / shortlisted for this position to interview stage, you will have attained experience / qualification in all the following areas as deemed essential for the position: - Applicant must be proficient in setting out and tracking work in coordination with engineering team. Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a Fabrication/Welding background. Preferably candidate will have experience in both industrial and commercial background. Technical knowledge to read and work from drawings, Manuals, Blueprints, Schematics etc. Experience in organising manpower and other resources to achieve targets Willingness to flexible working including site working / rotations Desirable Experience / Qualification Criteria: Whilst not essential for the position, preferential consideration to interview stage will be provided to candidates who demonstrate experience / qualification in the below criteria: Electrical knowledge as well as Mechanical would be advantageous. Experience of Electrical switchgear manufacture or similar. Experience of on field service work / on site installations. Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
