An experienced consultant with at least 10 years of proven expertise in the sector is sought to build on our profile and to lead project origination and delivery across a diverse project portfolio. The role requires the positive contribution to project development and delivery in accordance with the wider work programme and project priorities of the team, harnessing our transformational milestone of having joined KPMG Ireland upon the acquisition of our business, Future Analytics Consulting Ltd., in 2020.
A snapshot of your peer group:
1. 10+ years of planning, development and strategy experience;
2. A proven track record in the planning and development industry;
3. Strong knowledge and experience of Irish planning and EIAR procedures;
4. High proficiency and knowledge of the planning and development policy landscape in Ireland;
5. Broad business insight and understanding of commercial processes is critical.
6. Irish Planning Institute professional accreditation (with CPD maintained), and/or Royal Town Planning Institute accreditation (with CPD maintained), or equivalent;
7. Passionate about planning, development and strategy - eager to learn and engage;
8. Self-starter initiative - motivated with a positive and creative outlook, and a strong team player;
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in working within a business and technical environment;
10. Ambition - career and personal development focused;
11. Ability to multi-task and prioritise multiple projects with sound judgment and time management skills;

Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
14. To lead a range of strategic planning and development projects across different scales (local, regional, national) including large scale planning consenting projects (residential, commercial, renewable, infrastructure etc), EIAR management and coordination, masterplanning, site and development feasibility analysis, land use zoning and Development Plan submission etc;
15. To provide strategic planning advice to clients and other relevant stakeholders;
16. To manage relations with our existing client base in a proactive and positive manner and contribute towards the development of new business opportunities by seeking out new clients;
17. To plan and manage own work, showing commitment to continuous professional development;
18. To supervise and provide guidance to junior members of staff, as necessary, by monitoring and reviewing their contribution to priority projects;
19. To prepare and present complex information in both formal and informal settings;
20. Identify and document client requirements;
21. Experience of communication (consultations, workshops, presentations and networking);
22. Collaborate with Partners and their Business Units across the Firm, and with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality projects;
23. Contribution to the creation of new opportunities and new ideas - developing best practice;
24. Contribution to the development of business strategy and implementation, defining supporting project procedures and protocol;
25. Building and sharing knowledge across the company;
26. To carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above as may be allocated from time to time.

In November 2020 KPMG acquired Future Analytics Consulting Ltd., our planning, economics and research consultancy who specialise in the provision of data-driven advice to public and private sector clients. As Future Analytics sits within the wider Deal Advisory practice, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across a variety of teams. The KPMG Future Analytics team currently consists of circa. 35+ management and staff members across planning, economics, research and data analytics. We have a strong focus on the use of data to inform economic policy and decision making and believe that the ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to leverage this expertise into best in class economic advice to our clients.
