An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-regarded principal contractor and property developer as a Health and Safety Advisor. The organisation has a turnover of over €40 million and is looking to expand the health and safety team due to company growth. This role will suit an individual who is looking to grow and develop with a forward-thinking construction company.
Responsibilities
1. Visiting site and engaging with site managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquiries.
2. Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
3. Conducting audits and inspections, constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
5. Assist with training, toolbox talks, inductions, and investigating incidents where required.
Qualifications
1. Experience in a similar role from within construction or civil engineering.
2. Ideally from a trades-based background.
3. Hold a Safety Qualification – NEBOSH, IOSH, CIF or similar.
4. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
5. A Driver's license is essential.
