Our company is a leading Life Sciences Organization. We are hiring an Analyst II for our Biopharma department.
The successful candidate will perform testing, review laboratory data, and advance their proficiency in analytical techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Familiarization with work practices and documentation requirements:
o The candidate will undergo formal training during the first six months to become familiar with our work practices and documentation requirements.
* Understanding of company processes:
o The candidate will gain a deeper understanding of our company processes, including customer awareness, lab safety, and operational efficiency.
* Initiative and learning:
o The candidate will take the initiative to learn and master testing or data review tasks as required.
* Proficiency in procedures and training modules:
o The candidate will achieve proficiency in specific procedures and training modules as outlined in the training plan.
* Performing techniques/tests:
o The candidate will perform techniques/tests for which they are qualified according to completed training records and under the direction of senior laboratory staff.
* Training and development:
o The candidate will train Analyst Level 1 and other Analyst Level 2 staff on techniques/tests they are proficient in.
* Quality systems:
o The candidate will develop a detailed understanding of our company's quality systems, including managing deviations and calibration of basic-level equipment.
* Customer reports:
o The candidate will prepare or review customer reports for approval by senior staff.
* Team support:
o The candidate will provide cover for other team members as required.
* Training records:
o The candidate will keep training records up to date and proactively initiate training as per the training plan.
* Safety and compliance:
o The candidate will adhere to all company standards related to safety, housekeeping, and quality, and notify management of any discrepancies.
* Customer requirements:
o The candidate will ensure full compliance with customer requirements and be flexible to work in any area of the business as needed.
* Continuous improvement:
o The candidate will identify opportunities for improvement in quality and service and collaborate with the team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* On-Call/Call-Out rota:
o The candidate may participate in the company On-Call/Call-Out rota as required.
Requirements
* A degree or diploma in Chemistry or a related discipline is required.
* At least 1 year of experience in a GMP laboratory is required.
* Strong documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail are required.
* Good communication skills both internally and externally, with the ability to understand and articulate customer needs, are required.
* The candidate should be passionate about quality and customer service.
* The candidate should be a good team player who is organized, dependable, and accurate.
* The candidate should have the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* A high level of dependability, reliability, and integrity is expected.
