Your new role
This will be the lead finance position for the company in Ireland.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to play a key role in the integration of financial management across the island of Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team and manage the day-to-day finance and management accounting functions, while developing robust financial controls and Management Information Systems (MIS).
You will be the main finance person in Ireland, reporting to the MD with a dotted line into Group HQ.
We want to hire an ambitious Financial Controller who will in time progress to the position of Finance Director.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of 3 finance staff in 2 locations and lead, coach and mentor the team.
* Preparation of management accounts with commercial commentary and presentation.
* Monthly reporting to the Group finance team.
* Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external Auditors.
* Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.
* Work closely with the management team in offering commercial decision-making support.
* Manage the organisation's bank accounts and working capital management.
* Multicurrency management.
* Oversee the completion of monthly payroll for the site.
* Manage all regulatory returns including VAT and PAYE for ROI and UK jurisdictions Engage and lead project work as required.
* Drive continuous improvement: through working collaboratively with colleagues.
* Development/implementation of Financial IT systems including reports on stock, WIP etc
Requirements
* You must be ambitious to develop your career and demonstrate an energy that will support the growth of this expanding company.
* Technically strong with the drive and creativity to develop business analytics and management information.
* IT skills will be strong, especially Excel and MIS systems.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to foster and develop knowledge sharing.
* Fully Qualified Accountant and relevant experience working at Financial Controller level already.
* Proven ability to deliver business improvement.
* Experience of UK and ROI tax and regulatory reporting would be ideal.
