Activity, Leisure & Events Manager
We are seeking an experienced Activity, Leisure & Events Manager to join our team based in Antrim.
* Responsible for ensuring the booking systems for Tree Top Adventure and the events and activities programme are fully operational and priced in agreement with Head of Holiday Lets & Marketing.
* Ensure that teams follow company cash handling policy, process all payments through the till, and complete financial reconciliation and refunds.
* Deliver a successful Seasonal Engaging Events & Activities Program on time and budget.
* Develop and build upon Peak Seasonal Events-Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.
* Recruit, Manage and Appraise seasonal events, high ropes course, and leisure teams required to deliver activities, events, and leisure programme.
* Participate in staff selection and appointment processes in accordance with employment law procedures.
* Review subordinate staff performance annually, providing guidance on personal development requirements and advise further training where necessary.
* Delegate responsibility and authority to other staff as required, while retaining overall responsibility and accountability for results.
* Exceed customer expectations by delivering a highly professional programme.
* Maintain staff relationships and morale among all company staff.
Essential Criteria:
* At least 2 years of experience in managing and delivering events and entertainments programmes in a leisure setting or similar customer-focused setting.
* Experience working at and having Duty Manager and/or site management responsibility, including a successful high ropes course or comparable industry activity.
* Must be confident working outdoors and at height.
* Previous management experience, with the ability to lead, manage, and motivate your team to deliver a plan.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, enjoying working with others.
* Excellent organisation and administrative skills.
* Flexibility to work hours determined by the business, including evenings and weekends.
* An enthusiastic team player ready for a challenge.
* IT Literate and experienced in Office suite applications.
* Budget Management.
* H&S/Risk assessment skills.
* Working Knowledge in Event Management Health and Safety and/or high ropes course activities.
* Full driving license and own transport.
Desirable Criteria:
* Previous working experience in event/activity booking systems.
* Emergency First Aid certification (to be obtained prior to start date).
* High energy levels with a positive approach and outlook.
* Experience in recruitment, organising, and delivering training.
* Working knowledge of Event Health and Safety.
* Access NI Checked.
