Reporting to the Factory Line Manager, you will assist in the assembly of modular units in a manufacturing factory environment.
Your missionManoeuvring forklifts safely in the factorySafely stacking and unstacking large quantities of building materialsMoving goods from storage areas to loading areasEnsuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructionsRegularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damagesUsing industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transportKeeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating proceduresConsolidating partial pallets for incoming goodsWho are we looking for?MandatoryAccredited forklift operating licence from an industry-recognised bodyExperience working with construction materials/manufacturing using metals, timber or other large assembly materialsComfortable with repetitive tasksDesirableLeaving Certificate or equivalent Experience using power toolsSafe PassAccountabilityBeing personally accountable to your Line Manager for:Delivering on the responsibilities as listed aboveTaking ownership for the work assigned to youEffective Communication Ability to understand information to ensure you have a clear understanding of the objectives in order to work effectivelyCollaboration Ability to work with colleagues effectively sharing information and providing guidance or training to inexperienced peersQuality Adheres to work processes as trained and advised by the line managerReports any process or assembly deviations from drawings or specificationsAwareness of applicable quality procedures in own work areaHealth and SafetyEnsures full PPE is worn where applicableReports to line manager or EHS Advisor damaged PPEReports deviations from Health and Safety rulesUnderstands safe chemical handling practicesWhat's in it for you?Opportunities
