Job Purpose:
Our growing Design team are at the heart of this operation, we are seeking a creative and motivated Junior Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work as an entry-level designer.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Undertake and complete manufacturing drawings on Inventor.
2. Undertake design works using the latest AutoCAD software with the aim of understanding the full integration of products.
3. Liaise with factory engineers and planners to aid the effective delivery of products through manufacturing.
4. Provide technical support relating to the final use and specification of products.
5. Assist the site installation teams with technical advice and support.
6. Manage the issue of design information and drawings relative to individual contract requirements and develop up to approval status.
7. Ensure all activities enhance customer satisfaction and meet the requirements of all interested parties.
8. Manage good housekeeping of the department environment and equipment.
9. Work to develop expertise within the department in key areas and actively seek further departmental knowledge and personal development through training and experience.
10. Provide relevant training as and when required.
11. Attend factory visits and meetings.
12. Attend site meetings and visits.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Design related 3rd level education and no experience / or 3+ years in a similar role.
2. Basic knowledge of 3D modelling.
3. Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD.
4. Competent use of Microsoft Office.
5. Capable of working on own initiative.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Work in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Able to commute to Clonee five days a week.
9. Have a desire to learn and grow within the business.
General:
1. Carry out relevant training as and when required.
2. Undertake any project within the skill set of the position.
3. Undertake business trips as and when required.
4. Undertake any reasonable request from Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and other members of staff.
5. Understand, promote and apply the SAS Company values the ‘5C’s’.
