Preventive Maintenance Officer - Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay
Hotel: Singapore Clarke Quay (SINCQ), 2 Magazine Road, 059573
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inform superior of the status of repairs and pending costs and indicate when it would be reasonable to consider replacement.
2. Record daily service work, including maintaining individual maintenance costs along with time/task labour hours cost.
3. Perform all routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance.
4. Maintain a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department.
5. Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions/extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel.
6. Assist with the implementation of the hotel’s preventative maintenance system and repair log system.
7. Conduct and/or participate in Department meetings regarding proper operating and maintenance practices of equipment.
8. Repair and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities, furniture and equipment.
9. Prioritize work in line with guest requests and management.
10. Maintain proper stock of necessary repair parts, supplies, and cleaning materials for room maintenance tasks.
11. Lead the Preventive Maintenance Programme for guest rooms and public areas, assuring that room defects are rectified at a high quality.
12. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and any outstanding issues within guest rooms.
13. Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks according to guidelines and PMM schedules.
14. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Chief Engineer or Asst. Engineer.
15. Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines.
16. Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
17. Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
18. Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
19. Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
