About the Role Our client, a leading organization in the insurance sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Governance Manager to join their team in Dublin.
This fixed-term role (15 months) focuses on managing IT 3rd party governance and driving operational resilience within the organization.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, enhancing governance processes, and implementing key resilience strategies.
The position involves hands-on activities and occasional out-of-hours work (evenings and weekends).
The successful candidate will work onsite at least two days per week, with initial training provided at the companys Dublin headquarters.
Key Responsibilities Operational Resilience Lead and coordinate the delivery of the annual Business Impact Assessment (BIA) exercise.
Conduct IT assessments based on BIAs, including RTO/RPO, application, and business function assessments.
Develop and execute the annual Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery test plans.
Lead and support Disaster Recovery tests throughout the year.
Implement and manage new tools for crisis communication and BIA.
Perform security assurance testing on Operational Resilience topics regularly.
Devise and deliver an annual Operational Resilience training plan to enhance organizational awareness.
Address and resolve open audit points related to Operational Resilience.
Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) Update and maintain the organizations Digital Operational Resilience Strategy (DORS).
Lead the delivery of the Digital Operational Resilience test strategy and plan.
Manage the DORA ICT Supplier Register and ensure compliance with DORA requirements.
Report on progress and outcomes of Digital Operational Resilience activities.
3rd Party Governance Manage relationships with ICT 3rd parties and outsourced vendors.
Enhance engagement with 3rd parties and educate business owners on regulatory compliance requirements.
Drive the collection and management of information from 3rd parties to ensure compliance.
Planning and Reporting Develop and maintain detailed plans for all assigned activities.
Prepare and present high-quality reports and governance packs to senior management and governance forums.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and 3rd parties.
Ensure clear, concise, and updated documentation is maintained.
Additional Responsibilities Manage IT-related deliverables for the Bank Outsourcing Register.
Lead the annual assessment of Most Valuable Data.
Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in managing 3rd party governance.
Strong knowledge of operational resilience activities and governance frameworks.
Working knowledge of financial regulations, particularly DORA.
Previous experience in a regulated environment, preferably in the financial sector.
Skills and Competencies Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including advanced proficiency with Office 365 tools.
