Due to increased growth, we are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join the team as an Energy Engineer/ Estimator.
In this role, you will be designing software systems, creating technical proposals, and assisting in the execution of large projects.
You will work closely with the sales team to provide accurate energy yield estimates, system layouts and feasibility studies for commercial clients.
What you will do: Assist in conducting site surveys and assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar PV system installations, considering factors such as roof orientation, shading, and structural integrity Support the preparation of accurate project proposals and technical documentation / drawings, including bill of materials, equipment specifications, and estimated project costs Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely acquisition of necessary components and materials required for solar PV system installations Collaborate with the installation team to provide technical guidance and clarification on design specifications during the implementation phase of solar PV projects Assist with ESB applications and communication Working closely with the sales team, project managers and installation teams to deliver projects on time and within budget Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar PV technology, industry standards, and government regulations to ensure compliance and integration of best practices into the design process What you will need to succeed: Bachelors degree in design engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field 2 years+ experience in a design/energy engineering role Previous experience with design software such as Auto CAD Prior experience using Solar PV designing tools such as Helioscope, PVSyst, PVSol, etc (desired) Ability to produce accurate and detailed technical documents Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address design challenges Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment What you will receive in return: This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing dynamic & collaborative team here in Westport, Co Mayo.
