Key job responsibilitiesWe are looking for a sharp, experienced Application Engineer (AE) with a diverse skillset and background.
As an AE, you will:
Work directly with our business teams to solve their support needs with existing applications.Collect requirements and collaborate with other technical teams to solve highly scalable solutions.Translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build scalable systems.Contribute to maintaining the services healthy and robust.Implement and maintain the solutions you provide.Work closely with engineers on maintaining multiple products and services, creating process automation scripts, and monitoring and handling ad-hoc operational tasks.Understand the business impact of support decisions and drive the team to improve operational efficiency for all services through the identification and development of SLAs, metrics, monitors, procedures, tools, and documentation.Provide on-call support for issues related to alarm monitoring, application infrastructure, and bug fixes.On-board clients onto the platform and familiarize them with platform features and capabilities.Minimum Requirements- 2+ years of software development or 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience in Unix
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
- Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
