Career Opportunity
We have fantastic opportunities in our Finance Operations function for motivated candidates with a strong accounting background. This role offers the chance to work in a large finance team in Accounting & Reporting, supporting financial accounting and treasury accounting for ESB Group and its Business Units.
Key Responsibilities
* Period close, consolidation, and reconciliation activities at Group and Business Unit levels.
* Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and ESB Group annual and interim reports.
* Co-ordination of the annual audit process and engagement with external auditors.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
* Partnering with the Business on accounting-related matters.
* Providing technical accounting support to Corporate and Business Units.
* Monitoring accounting (IFRS), technical, and commercial developments and advising on their impact.
* Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the Accounting & Reporting function.
Requirements
* Newly qualified/1+ year PQE with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA).
* High-level technical accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
* Motivated, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong IT skills - knowledge of SAP/S4 Hana preferred.
Location
This position will be based in ESB's Head Office at Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.
