Maintenance Engineer Opportunity
We are working with one of Europe's largest food manufacturers to find a skilled Maintenance Engineer for their site in Omagh.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime of machinery across various shift patterns, including days, evenings, and nights.
Your Responsibilities:
* Action scheduled engineering maintenance works, including diagnostic fault analysis.
* Ensure auxiliary services such as steam, air, water, etc. plant, equipment, and distribution systems are properly maintained.
* Maximise asset utilisation and minimise costs in conjunction with Engineering Management and Production Manager.
* Carry out schedule-based maintenance work on equipment, buildings, and services, including repairs, overhauls, and installations.
* General maintenance and breakdown activities, resolving defects for allocated cell/area.
* Fault find mechanical and/or electrical faults and repair equipment in a breakdown situation.
* Deliver callout support and handovers to ensure reliability and performance of the plant's machinery.
* Proactively identify and rectify potential equipment/service issues.
* Collaborate with other functions to ensure efficient equipment running and prioritise work as agreed.
Requirements:
* Rlevant NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or recognised time-served Electrical apprenticeship.
* Relevant NVQ Level 3 Mechanical engineering qualification or Mechanical recognised time-served apprenticeship.
* Experience in servicing and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
* Experience in carrying out preventive Maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, rollers, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
* Ability to adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
