Human Resources Generalist required for manufacturing client based in Ennis, Co. Clare. 12 month Maternity leave cover contract.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, work permits, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide guidance on hiring strategies.
* Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
* Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
* Address and resolve employee concerns and grievances, whilst adhering to policies and ensuring proper documentation.
* Promote a positive workplace culture in line with guiding values.
* Support managers in addressing performance issues and implementing plans to support employees.
* Administer employee benefits programs, including private health insurance, pension, employee stock purchase program, and other benefits.
* Assist employees with benefits enrollment and changes and respond to enquiries about coverage and claims.
* Maintain and update the HRIS system (Workday) with employee data, including new hires, terminations, and benefits.
* Generate reports on HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, service etc.
* Support the development of HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and company objectives.
* Partner with the European HR team on other adhoc projects in line with business needs.
* Maintain employee files and records in electronic form.
* Carry out HR analytics and reporting regularly.
* Administer and support employee volunteering initiatives.
* Support the HR team with day-to-day administration and operational tasks.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in a generalist HR role or similar.
* Knowledge of legislation and regulations.
* Excellent Microsoft office skills including a deep understanding of Excel.
* Experience with Workday is preferable or similar HRIS system would be advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
