The All-Island Climate and Biodiversity Research Network (AICBRN) brings together researchers from a wide range of disciplines across the island of Ireland to develop a large-scale research and innovation initiative to support policy and management decisions, underpin business and enterprise strategies and strengthen societal capacity to address the climate and biodiversity emergencies.
The project will generate spatial-temporal datasets from various sources including Spaceborne Satellites, Drones, In-situ instruments, Land-Management, Soil & GIS databases that can be processed and integrated into more complex multi-scale land-cover and land-use models. A core output from the overall project will be the development of novel and automated methodological approaches to characterise land-use activity and management.
We are seeking an experienced Earth Observation and Modelling scientist who has knowledge of, and expertise in analysing Earth Observation data including Satellite Remote Sensing together with Soil and geospatial datasets.
Post-Doctoral Researcher, Level 1 (2025): €45,847 p.a. (1 point - with increment)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
