Job Title: Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Cleaning Assistant
Main Purpose of the Job:
To ensure the smooth and efficient cleaning of the kitchen and all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and certain back-of-house areas of the hotel premises, including the staff canteen and smoking areas.
Responsibilities:
* Report on time and in the correct uniform, as outlined in the induction handbook.
* Clean the kitchen to an acceptable standard, including walls, flooring, presses, cookers, fridges, etc.
* Ensure all dirty dishes, glasses, cutlery, and crockery, pots, and pans are cleaned.
* Brush and wash the floors whenever necessary and at the end of every shift using the correct detergent as outlined in chemical training.
* Adhere to health and safety policies and training with a specific emphasis on slips/trips and use of appropriate signage to warn passers-by of danger.
* Wipe up spills immediately.
* Help clean and service the yard when required.
* Dispose of rubbish correctly, including cardboard boxes, in line with our recycling policies.
* Dispose of broken/chipped crockery and glasses into suitable lidded bins.
Requirements:
* Organized, attention to detail-oriented.
* Communicable level of spoken English.
* Permission to work and reside in Ireland.
* Relevant experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
* Ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative.
