Maintenance Technician - 2 Cycle Shift
Responsibilities
* This involves but is not limited to:
* Control & Maintenance of the Facilities Maintenance Programme including monitoring of the Air Handling System as per relevant VistaMed procedures.
* Co-ordination of the process equipment plant Preventive Maintenance & Calibration Programme in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9002/ EN46002 & MEDDEV 93/42/EEC
* Participation in the development of plant lay-outs, material travel & handling & over-all work plan in order to provide effective synchronous manufacturing
* Participation in routine Failure Investigation & process trouble-shooting
* Participation in plant Corrective Action & Continuous Process Improvement programmes
* Participation in the Internal Quality Audit Programme (As applicable)
* Participation in the Internal Training Programme (As applicable, e.g. Cross training other technicians or new technicians)
* Responsible for assessment and repair of all mechanical and electrical breakdowns in assigned work area
* Participate in the completion of URS for new equipment
* Assist with the commissioning of new equipment projects
* Participate in execution of IQ of new and existing equipment (as assigned)
* Order and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts for equipment under responsibly to ensure smooth continuity of manufacturing
Qualifications
* Required: The successful candidate will have trade Certification in maintenance (fitter, toolmaking, electrical or equivalent) Level 6, Level 7 or Level 8 FETAC qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical / Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar.
* Ideally 2-3 yr. previous experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment.
* Apprentices (unqualified) will be assigned to a fully competent individual. Co-signing will be implemented by the apprentice’s Manager.
* Maintenance Technicians required to carry out main duties using workshop equipment such as Lathes, Milling Machines or Surface Grinders must have relevant experience in use of this type of equipment and be suitably qualified in use of same.
