We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Person in Charge to join our team in Silverpine Respite House, located in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Contract Type: Permanent contract.
Contract Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary Scale: €51,589 - €63,501 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview Of The Post
The manager will be responsible for leading and delivering standards in children's respite services, and for obtaining (where required) and maintaining registration with the Health Information Quality Authority. The manager will operate as a Person in Charge (PIC) under the Health Act 2007 working within the HIQA framework for managing and operating residential respite services and will be responsible for ongoing implementation of the Health Act Regulations 2013 and HIQA Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.
The Manager will be responsible for leading the effective development and delivery of a residential respite service using a person centred approach and within a social model for children with a physical and/or sensory disability, mild to moderate intellectual disability and/or ASD.

The successful candidate will have
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or Nursing or equivalent.
* Evidence of professional registration.
* Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a similar work environment.
* Minimum of 3 years working at a senior level, or in a supervisory capacity.
* Experience working with children with disabilities, including supporting service users who present with challenging behaviour.
* Management qualification.
* Excellent working knowledge of HIQA and their requirements.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Eligible to work in the State.
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience working as a Person in Charge.
